Westlake specializes in US Coast Guard vessel scanning services, having completed scans in various shipyards both domestically and abroad. Most recently, Charles “Bob” Blair and Mike Schelsky traveled to the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide these services for the USCGC Wrangell – an Island-Class Patrol Boat in need of structural analysis and possible modification design. Bob and Mike collected data pertaining to the ship’s exterior hull shell, main deck, shaft struts and dock floor to ensure all needs were met…and of course, made time for a little sightseeing!
