Westlake Consultants & BRIC Architecture Team Up To Donate “Birthday Cake Bags” To Tigard-Tualatin School District Food Pantry
For many years, Westlake has proudly supported students in the Tigard-Tualatin School District through our annual school supplies and backpack drives. This year, we partnered with BRIC Architecture to help students and families in need through the Packed With Pride food pantry which serves needy students, and held a “Birthday Cake Bag” Drive.
Employees from both firms donated cake mixes, frosting, candles, sprinkles, baking pans, cards, and other birthday supplies – everything needed to bake and decorate a birthday cake. Thanks to the generosity of our firms, we collected enough items to assemble more than 140 celebration bags to help make birthdays a little brighter. And, we had a lot of fun working together!
These birthday cake bags are distributed through the Packed With Pride food pantry which provides food resources to students and families in need throughout the year.

Our partnership was especially meaningful for BRIC and Westlake because we are also both proudly helping shape the future of Tigard-Tualatin schools through our firms’ professional services. In May 2025, voters approved a $421.3 million capital investment bond to provide critical investment to address infrastructure needs, increase facility safety, and modernize aging schools for the more than 10,600 students in the District. As professional services firms which work closely with the District on facility improvement and construction projects, we understand the importance of investing not only in school buildings, but also in the students and families who use them every day.
By combining our efforts, BRIC Architecture and Westlake Consultants were able to make a positive impact beyond the built environment, demonstrating how local businesses can come together to support the community and help every student feel valued and celebrated.
