As we bid farewell to Doug Liles, Associate, and Senior Land Surveyor, we reflect on a remarkable 32-year journey at Westlake Consultants. Doug’s leadership, expertise, and commitment have left a lasting mark on our company.
Throughout his tenure, Doug has been a mentor and a driving force behind our success. His expertise with construction survey projects and data analysis has been instrumental in shaping Westlake’s surveyor training and workflow process.
Doug’s career includes notable projects such as Portland’s Martin Luther King Viaduct bridge replacement, where he logged nearly 5,000 hours of QA/QC work over five years, demonstrating his dedication to a job well done. Other significant projects include the Sauvie Island Bridge replacement, the Oregon Zoo Bond Improvements, Lake Oswego Interceptor Sewer Project (LOIS), Providence Park Stadium Expansion, the Hawthorne Bridge, Portland Community College campuses, Nike’s Beaverton campus, Bonneville Dam, and Portland’s original MAX light rail line.
As Doug moves on to a well-deserved retirement, we express our deepest gratitude for his contributions. His influence will be missed, but we are grateful for the 32 remarkable years we’ve had the privilege to work alongside him.
Best wishes, Doug, for a fulfilling retirement!
I wanted to pass along a note of thanks for all the help Westlake has provided to us on our projects. The information your group produces is responsive, accurate and top notch work.”
