Engineering Director

We are looking for a talented individual to join our civil engineering division.

Required experience:
•BSCE;
•OR PE required, licenses in other states a plus;
•10 - 15 years engineering experience with a background in site civil design, including a combination of roadway, traffic, storm water, irrigation design and utility relocations;
•Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints;
•Must possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets;
•Demonstrated skills developing relationships with municipal, county and state agencies in support of site civil projects;
•Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology modeling and MS software applications (including MS Project);
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management;
•Experience with project estimating, man-hour allocations and cost accounting methods for project management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee, coordinate, plan and administer small to medium size site civil projects;
•Coordinate and communicate with Principals to help guide and grow the firm;
•Manage and mentor civil design staff, helping them to set and meet personal and professional goals;
•Ensure the integrity and completeness of all civil designs with strong QA/QC procedures;
•Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met;
•Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, estimating work, maintaining and developing key client relationships;
•To be active in professional organizations and at professional functions;
•Train and mentor young professionals new to the profession;
•Scheduling of staff to meet deadlines with deliverables.

Senior Civil Project Engineer / Manager

We have an outstanding staff and welcome the addition of a Senior Civil Project Engineer to our team.

Required Experience:
•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE);
•Oregon PE required--licensing in other states a plus;
•5-10 years of engineering experience with a background in civil site design, including a combination of roadway, traffic, stormwater, irrigation design, and utility relocation;
•Experience with wind farm development projects, access roads, pad grading, transportation plans, and SWPP/SPCC plans a plus;
•Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions/constraints;
•A proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets;
•Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and other Autodesk software applications;
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Civil Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a civil project engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working on site development and public works projects;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software;
• Ability to work in a project team environment, with a variety of project managers;
• Experience with wind farm development projects, access roads, pad grading, transportation plans, and SWPP/SPCC plans a plus;
• College degree is preferred, along with PE registration.

Typical job responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the preparation of standard engineering documents and calculations, incorporating Civil 3D and AutoCAD for drafting purposes;
• Provide design of streets, utilities, and grading;
• Oversee technical staff for design and CAD drafting;
• Perform calculations, using appropriate software, for water systems and stormwater runoff;

Civil AutoCAD Designer

We are looking for a talented individual to join our civil engineering division.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

Senior Project Surveyor / Manager

We are currently seeking a senior project surveyor/manager to join our team.

Required Experience:
•Registered Professional Land Surveyor (Oregon/Washington preferred) with a minimum of 15 years of experience;
•Knowledge of cadastral survey for large projects involving numerous sections;
•Knowledge of survey software and the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D;
•Knowledgeable in the use and operation of survey equipment including Trimble Robotic Total Stations, TSC3 data collectors, and Trimble GPS units - in support of the survey crews;
•Experienced in the use of Trimble Business Center;
•Solid understanding of boundary resolution for urban and rural properties, topographic mapping, and ALTA standards;
•Experience with preparation and submittal of subdivision plats and partitions for recording purposes with city/county agencies;
•A proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets;
•Experience supervising, organizing, and managing field crews;
•Demonstrated skills developing relationships with clients, municipal and state agencies;
•Demonstrated project management skills that include estimates, proposals, invoicing and budget reviews.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee completion of survey projects for boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, subdivisions, partitions and property descriptions;
•Research and develop work plans for survey projects;
•Assist civil engineering department with scope and costs for survey-related tasks required for the development process;
•Perform survey and utility research;
•Coordinate with survey crews to accomplish project goals;
•Actively assist with the mapping process when necessary;
•Provide leadership in preparation of various mapping projects;
•Manage, supervise and train field and office staff for efficient completion of projects;
•Participate in business development opportunities;
•Estimate and budget man-hours for survey projects, review monthly job costing report for invoicing and project management.

Survey Crew Chief - Heavy Construction

We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief for our Heavy Construction division.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
•A minimum of 7 years of experience performing staking for heavy construction projects (i.e. bridges, highways, high rises, hospitals, shopping malls, etc.);
•Proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS, calculations, and data collectors;
•Good organizational, note-taking, communication, and writing skills;
•Must have valid Oregon driver's license, and be willing to travel occasionally;
•Candidate must be able to be badged for work at sensitive/secure sites (i.e. drug testing and background check);
•PLS is preferred.

Survey Crew Chief - Development Survey

We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief to join our Development Survey team.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief performing construction staking, boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys;
• Proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS, calculations, and data collectors;
• Good organizational, note-taking, and writing skills;
• Ability to be badged for work at sensitive or secure sites (i.e. drug testing and background screening);
• A valid Oregon driving license, and willingness to travel occasionally;
• PLS registration is a plus.

Project Surveyor

We are seeking to add an experienced Project Surveyor.

The ideal candidate will offer:

•A minimum 10 years of experience in topographic mapping, boundary resolution, subdivision platting, and heavy construction projects.
•Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil, GPS (Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access field software, and Trimble R8 GNSS equipment);
•Proficiency with cadastral section breakdown calculations, and with AutoCAD Civil 3D;
•Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills, as well as project management skills;
•Ability to manage and coordinate survey technicians and field personnel work activities;
•Ability to take on responsibilities of CAD drafting, calculations, estimating, proposal preparation, and budgeting tasks;
•Good communication and interpersonal skills;
•A high level of production ability, along with a strong work ethic and sense of professional integrity;
• A current Oregon Professional Land Surveying license is preferred; an LSIT is required.

Survey Instrument Person

We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Instrument Person to join our Survey team. This position is available immediately.

The successful candidate for this position will have:
•A minimum of 3 years of experience using GPS, total stations, and data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction layout;
•Good organizational, note-taking, and writing skills;
•Ability to be badged for work in sensitive areas (i.e. drug testing and background screening);
•Ability to travel occasionally;
•LSIT is preferred.

Typical job responsibilities include:
•Keep survey truck clean, organized, well-maintained, and stocked with supplies;
•Load/unload survey gear each day, and keep survey equipment clean and well-maintained;
•Support Crew Chief as needed with set up/break down of equipment/instruments, brushing line, taking field notes, operating robotic total stations, levels and data collectors, and labeling lath;
•Take organized, legible field notes;
•Recognize and be able to identify safety hazards.

Survey Technician (Office)

We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Technician (Office) to join our team. This position is available immediately.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
•A minimum of 3 years of experience with construction calculations, topographic mapping, boundary resolution, and drafting;
•Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010+;
•Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task on a variety of project assignments;
•Field surveying experience is a benefit;
•LSIT is preferred.

Survey Crew Chief - 3D Laser Scanning & Industrial Measurement

We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief for our 3D Measurement Division.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in crew supervision, construction layout, client liaison, field procedures for data collection, calculations and layout, detailed and legible note-keeping techniques, and careful implementation of QA procedures;
• A genuine aptitude for geometry, problem-solving, and prior experience in precise surveying / measurement would be of great value. Some experience with AutoCAD would be valuable;
• Must have valid Oregon driver's license, and be willing to travel occasionally;
• Candidate must be able to be badged for work at sensitive/secure sites (i.e. drug testing and background check);
• PLS is preferred.

Project Surveyor - 3D Laser Scanning & Industrial Measurement

We are seeking a candidate interested in long term employment and the opportunity to expand his/her professional survey skills as part of our Industrial Measurement and Laser Scanning team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology. Position includes both office and field work tasks, and requires an individual with diverse skills and the ability to be flexible. Emphasis is directed at the construction environment for control, layout, monitoring and quality checks.

The ideal candidate will offer:

• 4-year college degree.
• Professional survey license (PLS).
• Minimum of 5 years of combined office and field experience with an emphasis on construction layout.
• AutoCAD experience for drafting and calculations (preferably 3D).
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic combined with an active mind and problem-solving ability.
• Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel).

Preferred but not required:

•Laser scanning experience including data processing (FARO).
•Experience with 3D software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, 3DStudio Max, Cyclone, Kubit, etc.

Survey Instrument Person - Industrial Measurement

We are seeking an experienced Survey Instrument Person to work with our Industrial Measurement and Survey teams.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction layout, field procedures for data collection, detailed and legible note-keeping techniques, and careful implementation of QA procedures;
• Prior experience in precise surveying / measurement;
• Proficiency with robotic total stations and data collectors (required);
• Experience in high tech manufacturing or clean room environments;
• Ability to be badged for work in sensitive areas (i.e. drug testing and background screening);
• A valid Oregon Driver's License (required);
• Ability to travel occasionally.
