In October, Westlake staff were invited to attend the Habitat for Humanity “Frame A Future” event at the West Lake Grove community in Lake Oswego, a development our team has helped to develope. This inspiring community celebration raised $460,000 to help frame the 23 homes currently under construction at West Lake Grove.

These homes will create stability for 100 future residents, including 60 children.

Speakers at the event included Habitat President Steve Messinetti, a recent Stanford University graduate who grew up in a Habitat home in Portland and credits the stability he experienced with helping him succeed, and Lake Oswego Mayor Joe Buck, an early supporter of bringing this Habitat development to the city. “For me, it was a really cool thing to grow up in LO, and it really set me up for the future. I’m so excited at the hope a development like this brings for the kids who will live here, who will go to school down the street,” shared Mayor Buck. “It’s this diversity of residents that a vibrant and healthy community really requires.”

Westlake is proud to have played a meaningful role in bringing this Habitat project to life by providing extensive land use planning, civil design and development, surveying and construction services. In May, several Westlakers also participated in a Build Day at the site. Project completion is expected in Spring/Summer 2026.
