Westlake has formalized our commitment to improve sustainability. We recognize the magnitude of effects the built environment has on our environment, and believe our firm has a duty to its employees, clients, and community to do our part. The first step towards action is education, and we’ve created a Green Team to help inform our employees and carry out our initiatives. We recognize the importance of improving our practices here in the office, but also hope the Green Team will inspire action and empower change on an individual level! The Green Team is a collaborative effort to share best practices and discuss ways we can improve, specifically with reducing waste, improving energy efficiencies, and reducing carbon emissions. We’re continually striving to do better, but Westlake intends to be transparent throughout our journey in hopes of helping other firms accomplish our common goals.
