As the new school year approaches, we’re excited to share the success of our Back-to-School Supply Drive! Thanks to the generosity of our staff, we were able to collect hundreds of items including binders, glue sticks, and an impressive amount of paper, markers, and crayons—enough to fully stock several classrooms. These supplies will go directly to students in the Tigard-Tualatin School District who need them most, ensuring that they have the tools necessary to start the school year off on the right foot.

Recognizing the importance of sturdy backpacks for students of all ages, Theda Pansevicius, the District’s Back to School Supply Coordinator, emphasized this need. In response, Westlake’s management team made a corporate donation to purchase these essential items. When Theda arrived to pick up the donations, she expressed her heartfelt appreciation, noting how important these backpacks are as they can serve as a student’s only personal possession for those living in uncertain housing situations.

A special shout-out goes to Morgan Perry, our Summer Support Specialist, who managed every aspect of the drive, from communication and coordination, to packing up the donations. Morgan shared, “It makes me so proud to give back to the school district where I grew up.”
