Westlake provides civil engineering services for solar energy substation design as well as battery energy storage facility design projects throughout the U.S. Typical projects involve design for grading, earthwork, access design, and general stormwater conveyance. Design efforts have ranged from assisting an electrical consulting firm priming a new solar development, to providing stamped grading plans for the construction of solar substations

Recent projects have been in Texas, Indiana, Oregon, and in New York state where we provided site grading design for solar arrays over approximately 8 acres while adhering to the strict slope requirements to ensure the natural drainage pattern was maintained.
