Begin with the end in mind.
SINCE 1983.
Westlake provided alignment services to establish the centerline of a 5000 ton capacity hydraulic press, and align new manipulator rails both horizontally and vertically. Jorgensen Forge produces open die forgings with this press. To avoid shutting down forging operations for an extended period, Westlake met tight schedule demands in three visits.
On the first visit, we as-built the existing rails and established the best-fit centerline for the manipulator rail alignment. We then calculated and set reference marks for the center of the press and manipulator centerline. Our second visit focused on as-builting work completed to date, providing adjustments, and laying out centerline and elevation for the new rails relative to the press and manipulator. During our final visit, we performed repeat measurements to the press base to identify changes in 3 dimensions related to re-grouting and made punch parks to facilitate future work.
I wanted to compliment you on your cad files. These files were the cleanest I have worked with in a long time. I see a lot of files from Engineers (200+ jobs a year) and your files were very nice to work with. I appreciate an engineering firm that takes the time to pay attention to their product.”
