This holiday season Westlake chose to partner with JOIN Portland by holding a Hat, Glove, and Sock Drive for those experiencing homelessness in the metro area. Employees ended up collecting hundreds of new items including 42 pairs of gloves, 58 hats, 340 pairs of socks, 20 winter coats, 20 blankets, 4 ski pants, and 4 large boxes of toe/hand warmers.

Our donations will go to helping provide for people’s immediate needs – by providing them with cold weather gear this winter.  For every item donated by staff, the company purchased a matching item doubling our efforts.

In 2019, JOIN help nearly 1,350 individuals transition from homelessness to permanent housing, including over 160 families with children. In addition, the organization offers outreach, housing and retention, basic services, and immersion programs.
