Our engineers and surveyors have supported project planning, design, and construction to more than two dozen wind farms around the U.S. Wind farms often come with many difficult challenges and in remote areas with difficult terrain \u2013 the problem-solving is half the fun!<\/p>\n<p>Our\u00a0Director of Engineering, Bernard Smith, PE, PLS, and Chris Holland, PE recently took a trip to McAllen, Texas. The trip included a visit to the Hidalgo II wind farm for a 75% design walk down and meetings with state and local officials to discuss improvements within their right of way for transmission.
